    Meet the Expert Doggie Planer

Hunter is a forever young-at-heart Parson Russell terrier born to a German dog mom and an English dog dad – which is why he chose a similar constellation for his human family. Because, hey, no need to change a winning formula, right?

Now, where did we hide that bone again?

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How big is it?

    It measures 21 × 21 cm (≈ 8.3 × 8.3 in) closed; 21 × 42 cm (≈ 8.3 × 16.5 in) when hung.

How do I hang it up?

This edition uses a pre-drilled hanging hole (no wire-o/coil). That reduces plastic/metal, lowers transport-damage risk (nothing to bend or snag), and keeps the calendar flat and easy to gift-wrap—it’s optimized for gifting. Hang with a small nail/pin or a removable wall hook.

What paper and finish are used?

For our dog art calendars, we use 300 gsm coated art paper with a matte, scratch-resistant lamination for the cover, while the interior pages are 250 gsm coated art paper with a silk-matte (non-glare) finish—both feel postcard-stiff.

    How sharp is the print?

The calendars are printed on an HP Indigo printer, so details are crisp with no noticeable halftone/raster at normal viewing distance. It's more expensive for us, but so much better for the finer details in print.

Does it reflect or glare under light?

No. To avoid distracting glare, we deliberately didn’t use a glossy surface for the Dog Art Calendar. The silk-matte (non-glare) finish is low-reflection, so under normal lighting, you shouldn’t get distracting reflections.

    Is the cover scratch-resistant?

The matte lamination with scratch-resistance helps resist scuffs and fingerprints in normal use; avoid sharp or abrasive contact, though. At the end of the day, this product is just made out of paper. :)

Can I write on the grid?

Ballpoint (biro), pencil, and pigment fineliners write cleanly; gel/rollerball pens work with a short dry time (≈10–30 s); alcohol-based markers can bleed and should be avoided. You might want to use the Imprint page or the back cover to test a specific pen you'd like to use.

    Any writing tips?

For best results, write on lighter areas and let the ink dry briefly before going over it or turning the page to avoid smudging. If you’re using a pencil, use a soft eraser.
Test your pen on the back cover or the image index page first; there are simply too many ink formulations and solvents to make universal guarantees.

Does it come in shrink wrap (plastic wrap)?

No. Instead, each calendar is protected in a translucent glassine (pergamin) sleeve to reduce plastic and prevent abrasion during transport. The sleeve keeps the product visible and may help with customs checks; however, careful customs handling can’t be guaranteed.

Do you offer gift wrap or a gift note?

Not at checkout. For gifts, please use our Gift Bundles (separate products) available in the shop.

    How do subscriptions work?

Subscriptions renew automatically on the schedule you choose: Set it and forget it. After each renewal, we charge your saved payment method and ship your items—no need to reorder.
For example, if you choose a monthly plan, we’ll bill your saved payment method each month and send your items automatically, so you don’t have to place the order again.

Can I pause or cancel a subscription?

Yes, of course. You can pause or cancel a subscription at any time in your customer portal.
The customer portal can be accessed through the link you received in the email sent to you when you placed an initial subscription order in our shop. You can also access your subscriptions by creating an account in our shop.

How can I skip or reschedule a charge?

You can skip or reschedule a charge in the customer portal. Each scheduled delivery will have a Skip payment button next to it, which you can use to skip the charge. You can reschedule the charge by clicking on the Reschedule button next to the delivery date.

Can I edit a subscription to change the number of items? Will it affect the discount?

Of course. You can change the number of calendars and journals you want to have in your subscription. Just click on the Edit button in the products card and edit, remove, or add the desired amount of calendars and/or journals to your subscription.
Every time you change the amount, the discount will be recalculated.
